Ruthie wore her first few cloth diapers yesterday! We have been meaning to experiment with cloth diapers for some time now, but decided to wait until our move was complete and settled in. Now that we are, we're ready to give cloth a try. Her first cloth diaper was immediately filled with poopies and potty, but her second lasted a bit longer. Our goal is to use a mix of both cloth and disposable, using mainly cloth while at home. I know it'll be an adventure, but an endeavor worth trying.

Good for you!!! We have enjoyed using cloth diapers at home (and saved well over 1,000 diapers so far). It's a little bit more work but it's kind of fun too, and the babies look so cute in cloth. If you want to make it a little easier on yourself, buy a few "Bummi" wraps - then you don't have to use pins. I hope you bought the extra thick diapers...the single ply ones make good burp cloths but don't hold much else!
