1. Better work-life balance. Mark's transition to the new company, TMX Aerospace, has done wonders for his work-life balance! We are so grateful for the extra time he can spend with us, the flexibility of working more from home, and feeling more freedom in his daily schedule. Here's a snapshot of Leah and Mark doing her preschool Brainquest - she loves doing little flashcards and reading books with Dad!
2. Fall harvest and healthy eating. We have been received so much great produce from family and friends, it's been a great way to continue eating well. One of these years we'll get on the ball and plant a huge garden, but until then, we're so grateful for garden grown zucchini, tomatoes and more from others! For dinner one night this week we had baked tofu, mushroom/tomato/green onion ratatouille on quinoa noodles, with broiled zucchini rounds. Yum! Dinner was under 600 calories, and was both filling and tasty!
3. LONG WALKS! With Ruthie back in school, Leah and I are back to our morning routine of zipping around Larsen Lake after we drop Ruth off at school. The chill in the air at 8 am quickly fades away by the time we're home, and the sun is often shining. We've loved spending moments together watching ducks, seeing all the dogs on their morning walks and swinging on the community swing at Larsen Lake fruit stand. These are the pieces in life I cherish as a stay-at-home Mom!
4. Childhood fun... Here's a picture of Leah and Ruth huddled under their umbrella fort as it lightly sprinkled one day, they watched the clouds quickly roll through, had snacks and looked at magazines. Ruthie's favorite mailbox junk: Toy catalogs, The American Girl catalog, and her Lego Club magazine. I sure wish they'd stop growing up!!!

One of the things I miss most about WA is walking with strollers with you! I literally remember the first walk we ever took :)
