Ruthie participated in her first piano recital in June, and it was such a sweet opportunity for her to show the world how hard she's worked with her piano lessons. Ruthie played Gallup Pony, and King of the Land; she performed both songs without a single mistake! She was really quite nervous beforehand, but she said the butterflies flew out of her tummy immediately after she finished. It was great that Gramma Becky and Auntie Sarah were able to be there, along with her cute cousin Elijah, as well as Auntie Jen and Sam. Afterwards we took her out for Menchie's (frozen sorbet) to celebrate her achievement. Way to go, Ruthie!!! She'll take the summer off from lessons; however, she's working hard on a Christmas lesson book to prove she can play O Come O Come Emmanuel. CLICK HERE to watch Ruthie play!

So glad you posted her recital. She did a great job. Loved how she was able to so bravely introduce herself. I would have thrown up at that age! And her songs were great. Good job, Mom, I know you must work hard to keep her on task to practice.
