Something New - Kitchen Remodel

OUR KITCHEN IS DONE!  Here are some pictures we've taken over the last three weeks...

What an all-consuming project this has been!!!  The plan for our kitchen has been a year in the making, lots of design chats, looking at resources and dreaming up ideas for the use of each little space.  With a cozy rambler like ours, we wanted to maximize each square inch, while also creating as much of an open concept as possible.  Our contractor really worked with us on the budget, and through patience and compromises, we made it happen.  We are very pleased with the outcome, we added about a foot to the length of the kitchen, added storage space up high with the removed soffit area, and added a corner pantry.  The last three weeks have been hard on us... Making so many decisions, eating meals with just a toaster, dusting and vacuuming every single night, having a contractor in the center of the house (and lives!), and bracing ourselves for such change has really taken a toll on us, but we are truly happy with the end result and are thrilled to settle in and truly make this space our own!  We are breathing a sigh of relief that this project is over, but feel so very very happy!
