Sleepover with Sammy

We invited Ruthie's cousin Sammy over for a sleepover during Labor Day weekend, and together they had the BEST time! On Sunday night the kids made their own mini pizzas for dinner with pineapple and olives, they played Legos for hours making vehicles and cars, and they ran around the backyard building mud flower pies. After getting ready for bed they watched the movie Reef, then played with stuffed animals in their sleeping bags. In the morning when Auntie Jen called to check in and to inquire what time she should pick up Sam, he replied, "way way later". They proceeded to play board games, Magic Garden and Sneaky Snacky Squirrel, and continue with Legos and outdoor play. The kids did a great job together. Ruthie absolutely loved her sleepover with Sammy, and within minutes of his departure she was mopey over missing her cousin. Thanks for being such a great guest Sam!

Loved reading about Ruth and Sam's sleepover--what a blessing for them to have a cousin so near--in age and proximity. They have a great bond, those two! I sure enjoyed watching their delight at the parade and fair last weekend--thanks for sharing!

The big smiles on the faces of Ruthie and Sam really show how much fun these cousins had together! Thanks for sharing these great pictures here, Esther! (:

Sam had such a fun time at this sleepover and cannot wait to have Ruth come to his house. I just read him this blog post and showed him the photos, and he said "I just love that photo!" (about the first pic). Thank you for having him! :)
