Ruthie's Rudolph Painting

Ruthie has been so enamored with the story of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, we are often singing the song about him, pretending to be him, or drawing pictures of him. Last week at a preschool gingerbread decorating party, Ruthie was given a glowing red nose, and it has brought her hours of entertainment! On random outings, she is able to spot images or rudolph models from afar, it's like she has a Rudolph radar! Here is a painting Ruthie made just a few days ago of Rudolph, she did this entirely by herself! Last weekend when I asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up, she said she couldn't decide between being an artist or a fire fighter!

The magic of Christmas is alive and flourishing in our house! We have written a letter to Santa, sprinkled oatmeal in our backyard for the reindeer, and have been eating cookies for breakfast! This will be one of the best Christmases!
