St. Patty's Day Dash

Last weekend our family participated in the Samena St. Patty's Day Dash!  Mark and I both ran in the 5K run (Mommy's was first place woman - wahoo), and we both finished within 30 minutes.  Then the girls ran in the 1K Leprechaun Loop around Larsen Lake, and Ruthie was the first place girl (this made her day)!  The prizes for our winnings were fun too!  We were so proud of Leah for making it all the way around the lake, she loved collecting golden coins along the run and seeing all her Samena friends and teachers - everyone was so encouraging.  We love our fitness club, it's also where  Ruth attended preschool, and Leah attends now.  It's a little slice of micro-community in our city life.
