Klondike Swamp Trail

Monday has been deemed "Hiking Day"!  Ruthie has early release from school every Monday afternoon, so we've been escaping right after dismissal (assuming the weather cooperates) to nearby hiking trails to explore and enjoy our beautiful terrain!  Washington State is such a luscious green place - it's simply beautiful!  It's amazing that in a metro city of millions, we can hit a gorgeous hiking trail on a sunny afternoon and only pass a few people.  Having the trails to ourselves is such a treat!  This particular hike was "Klondike Swamp Trail", it was fairly flat, only about 2 miles and had lots of interesting trees and winding pathways.  The girls loved seeing a little snake at the start of our hike, and they enjoyed looking for "Y" shaped sticks to make pictures with on the ground.  I love their energy, and truly cherish our hikes, they're a slice of heaven for me.
Leah always starts out with a burst of energy!
