Leah's First Dentist Appointment

Leah had her first dentist appointment yesterday, it went fantastic!!!  It started out pretty rocky, with Leah very clingy and afraid, but the hygienist put Leah right at ease showing her all the tools, taking special pictures, etc.  Mom was able to sneak out to help Leah detach and she did great for the remainder of the appointment!  Leah enjoyed having her teeth tickled, and was so proud of herself!  Dr. Chaing shared that Leah's teeth looked great - and there's no concern about her still sucking her thumb.  No serious overbite or damage, which means we have more time to let her naturally wean from her favorite soothing lovie habit.  After Leah's appointment, she enjoyed digging in their treasure box, she picked two wrist slap bracelets - one for her and one for Ruth.  Then she got a new toothbrush and new pencil.  We'll be back in 6 months! :)
