We spent a week at Moclips this August and it turned out to a be a perfect summer getaway for our little family! This was the first time we've rented our favorite beach house during the month of August, and we had quite a mix of weather! We had days of sun and warmth, other days of typical rain and gray, and days when we had a little bit of wind mixed with clouds and sun. We invited my brother's family to join us for a few days, Leah's Godparents to stay with us for a few days, and we spent a few days to ourselves. It was a nice mix of family and friends. Highlights of the week were the moments of glorious summer sun, picking wild blackberries, watching the kids frolic in the waves, and feeling fully engrossed in new novels. Between Mark and I, we read a total of 6 novels, and the girls worked through a large bag of library books and few new Lego toys! We spent one day exploring Seabrook, a cute little beach town and enjoyed lunch and shopping there. We also had our first Moclips bon fires, which the kids loved.
