Ruthie finished up her first season of Cross Country with one final race over in Seattle last Sunday, and she did AWESOME! During the championship race, each child gets to wear a race number, they're all awarded ribbons and the general hype in the air was exciting. Ruthie ran super hard, she didn't walk and finished her 1/2 mile faster than ever. After the season, the team had a little awards celebration and Ruthie earned a certificate for being a "Great Leader". The coaches said Ruthie was always following directions, coming up with fun new ideas and trying her very best. We are sooo proud of you Ruthie!

Congratulations, Ruthie! Great job! Love, Aunt Angela
I'm very proud of her too! What a great award! Was able to instantly pick her out of the pack at the starting lineup. How long does it take a 5-year-old to run 1/2 mile?
