Last weekend my sister, Sarah, and her family joined us for the long weekend, and we spent our days filled with play, swimming and lots of quality time! We kicked off the weekend with some time in downtown Seattle on Friday afternoon visiting the aquarium. My girls loved showing their cousins around the aquarium, and everyone was brave enough to touch starfish and other shore creatures (even Ruth!!!), we watched an octopus feeding, watched a diver inside the largest tank, and of course saw all of the small tanks and water animals. It was a fun way to start the weekend!
Then on Saturday, we drove to Great Wolf Lodge for two days of waterslides and splashy fun. The kids loved the wave pool, the "big dump" of water, and the lilly pad crossing. Ruth wouldn't spend a moment apart from her cousin Oriana. Ori, thank you for being so sweet to Ruthie! Ruth loved that she was tall enough for the larger inner tube slides, and Leah loved playing in the baby pool. It was nice having our older niece Isabel there, she was a big help with the kids, thank you Isa! Our families shared a huge room, and the kids enjoyed spending time in the room snacking, sharing toys and playing hide and seek (they had to get creative, it was fun to watch!). After driving home on Sunday we rounded out the weekend with big homemade pizzas and a little bit of shopping. Then on Monday it was sadly time to say goodbye. Thanks for sharing your wonderful weekend--loved the pictures and all the activities you crammed into the days. Looked like everyone had a fabulous time. I especially loved seeing Leah in her swimsuit--she's getting tall and beginning to look so grown up!
We had a great visit too. We will have to plan another trip soon. Elijah already wants to go swimming again. Thank you for having us over. We love spending time with you and your family. PS I want a copy of the picture of German, Ruthie,and I. We love you.
