Halloween Fun

Halloween 2012
Being that we had just returned from Hawaii, preparing for Halloween was a bit of a scramble, but we had a great day overall.  Unfortunately, Ruthie's Halloween costume didn't arrive on time (the USPS bungled up our hold mail and it took us a few extra days being home before we received all the mail), but she was a good sport and wore her bumble bee ensemble from last year.  The new princess costume has since arrived and has become a nice addition to the dress-up box.  Leah was a sweet ladybug, so together we had two little bugs to trick-or-treat with!  We began the evening with friends for a Halloween party (which was great fun), then came back to our block to trick-or-treat in the neighborhood.  We have quite a few elderly couples on our street, and they just love seeing the girls.  We had a fun time, Ruth loved ringing doorbells and Leah loved dumping her basket all over the ground.  After returning home, Ruthie and Daddy carved pumpkins, then we finished the night with Halloween books and bedtime.  Overall, a sweet evening with lots of love and smiles!

Such beautiful little "bugs" your girls are. Love their big smiles. (:
