A Sad Goodbye
It is with a heavy heart that we will be saying "goodbye" to Violet this weekend. In light of Ruthie's recently diagnosed asthma and our discovery that she is also allergic to cats, we have felt it best to find Violet a new home. Simply put, it is the most responsible thing to do in order to benefit Ruth's health. However, it's not that simple, and we have had an extremely difficult time making this decision and a heavy heart knowing that Violet can't stay with us forever. She has become a huge part of our days, and we have taken great comfort in her reliable love and playful spirit. We were lucky enough to find a home for Violet through a co-worker of Mark's, and trust that she will be loved and cared for (we will also receive periodic updates and visitation rights if we'd like - such a blessing)! We are extremely grateful that Violet will be going to a wonderful home and family. Please say a few prayers on our behalf that we feel a sense of peace through this sad transition. Having Violet with us for the last 10 months will be something we will never forget.

Those pictures are all so sweet. It's sad you have to say goodbye but great that you will still get updates on Violet.
My tears are mingling with yours. I know how hard it is to make such a hard decision, and I am so grateful you have found a loving home for her to go to. My prayers are definitely with you for peace-filled processing as you part with Violet. Love to all of you.
We will miss you Violet. But we are so glad you have found a wonderful new home and we know you'll make your new family very happy. :)
