While in Eastern Washington last weekend we spent a few hours in the country picking apples at my relatives' farm. The weather was beautiful, just a touch breezy with sunshine, and I think the thermometer reached 70 degrees! We had a wonderful time visiting with a few of my cousins, aunt & uncle, and of course a grand time picking apples. Ruthie loved running around, she was the perfect height for the apples growing low on the branches, and Daddy was the perfect height for reaching the apples up high. We brought home enough apples to last us a few months, and have since made our first pie of the fall season. Ruthie
loved helping make this delicious apple pie scratch to finish! From farm to table, it's the best way to celebrate the harvest season!
