As excited as we are to meet our new wee one, there are a handful of things we will especially miss as we change from a family of three to become a family of four. For instance, we'll miss calling Ruthie "Baby", or the three of us cuddling in the early morning hours after Ruth scampers into our bed, going on walks with just her in between us, and so many little things that make up the routines of our lives. We do know that it'll be one of the best gifts in life to bless Ruthie with a sister, and that learning to share and not receive all the attention will benefit her greatly, but letting go of the status quo breaks our hearts ever so slightly. Ruthie is our one and only for just a short while longer. We have loved our family of three and will cherish these years we had with just her! We feel so lucky to have given Ruthie this time in our lives, and know that after sister arrives, it'll be as if she's been here forever... But as a family of three, we have been blessed beyond our understanding and feel so thankful to God for these precious years together. We love you, Sweet Ruth, and you'll always have a very special place in our hearts as our first born!

So true, things will majorly change in a few weeks. Glad you recognize and are celebrating the things that make your threesome special. Can you even remember when it was a twosome?
Such a beautiful post! Ruth is a gem!
Just lovely.
