Learning to Sew

Years ago my Mother gave me a classic sewing machine, an awesome vintage European machine that was once a friend's grandmother's machine, which I am finally beginning to use! It has been an awesome starter machine for me (very few knobs, straight stitch, nothing but the basics). Over the last few months my Mom has been giving me sewing lessons, either at her house, or when she has been here visiting (or over the phone when I'm in a panic). I still have quite a lot to learn, but I have been enjoying this new hobby, learning new skills and loving the sense of accomplishment in creating something from scratch! Here is a jumper dress I made for Ruth! :)
