It has been a busy few weeks here since Thanksgiving, and now we are gearing up and preparing for the holidays. Our family has been feeling rather contemplative lately; trying to decipher what God has next for us in our lives... Whether that be my returning to work, perhaps setting new goals, and seeking to balance life with a toddler and a peaceful functioning home. A few straightforward updates: Mark is currently serving on jury duty (a very different and arduous assignment, but he is enjoying the process), as a family Christmas present we purchased new living room furniture (this makes me VERY happy), and Ruthie actually sat on Santa's lap this year without screaming (I'll get a photo posted soon). Until then, here is my favorite Advent poem, hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
