A few nights ago, Ruthie played outside the back screen door while I cooked dinner. I heard her talking, singing, collecting, and happily (and dirtily) playing. Come to find out, she was creating a "castle". A rocky castle, with flowers and sticks neatly assembled and piled. For Ruth, it's no longer big toys, it's the little things that make her day. Little dolls and ponies, little rocks and sticks, usually all piled up somewhere or conjured into a cute scene. It's moments like this that take my breath away and remind me to marvel at the sweet girl she is. Thank you, God, for the moments when I am in profound grace reminding me it's the little moments in this life that matter.
