Happy Easter
Our Lenten journey began 40 days ago, and we have worked really hard to teach Ruthie the true reason for our Easter celebration. On Good Friday, we were able to visit the church and walk and talk through the stations of the cross with her. We also read the Candle Bible for Toddlers: My Very First Easter. Ruthie has always been interested in "Baby Jesus", so it has been interesting to explain to her all about "Big Jesus". The part of his story that enamors her most is that he was lain in a "cave tunnel" after he died. We're still working on it, but to say the least, we are thrilled she is beginning to grasp the story of Jesus. We wish you all a blessed and joyous Easter with your family and friends!
Easter is a day of celebration because it represents the fulfillment of our faith as Christians. Through his death, Christ saved mankind from bondage to sin, and he destroyed the hold that death has on all of us; but it is his resurrection that gives us the promise of new life, both in this world and the next. Thank you Jesus.

I love your post! I felt like Christmas was easy to explain to Aaron Jr. this year, but the concepts of death and resurrection difficult so we focused on bunnies and eggs... Good for you for really trying to explain to Ruth - they understand so much more that we realize!!!
Lovely photo of Ruthie! We're so thankful Ruthie has Christian parents who are teaching her the real meaning of Easter Sunday. Can't start too early in training up a child in the way they should go! Love you guys!!
