Springtime

Spring is here! And with it has brought some not-so-fun and also exciting developments. My head explodes (literally) when all of this pollination occurs, so enjoying the sunshine for me has been few and far between. However, on the weekends Mark and Ruthie spend most of their time working in the backyard making steady progress on the landscaping, and Ruthie explores her new domain. Ruthie has really enjoyed the sunnier days. Just this morning I sent her into the backyard where she collected dandelions with classic 2-year old enthusiasm, insisted putting them in a glass jar and placing them on the kitchen table (where all flowers rightly should be). It was the sweetest thing. We are anxious for warmer weather and excited to see what the remainder of the springtime will bring...

Love the bouquet of dandelions you picked for your Mommy, Ruthie! Good girl! You have a really big back yard. Lots of work for Daddy and you!

The dandelions are so sweet! It's so great now that Spring is here and our kids can enjoy more time outdoors. :-)

You guys have done a lot of great work on your backyard! It seems like yesterday that all the kids were playing on the wood pile in the backyard during the work party :)
