We are excitedly getting ready for Christmas in our house, and it has been so much fun! Ruthie loves our tree, has fun looking at presents (and is constantly asking if each present is for her), and we have also been learning a lot about Baby Jesus. Here are a few photos from the morning Ruthie discovered our tree in the living room!

For sake of efficiency, we set up our tree after Ruthie went to bed one night. We always get a modest sized real tree, decorated with red and green balls, along with garland and a tree skirt that my Mom made for us!

"Ornaments" is a very difficult word for a toddler to say! Ruthie likes to gently touch the tree bristles and occasionally kisses the ornaments.

Here she is obsessing about the tree the morning after it was set up!

Great Christmasy pictures-- very pretty tree! What an awesome BIG smile on Ruthie's face! I'm sure this Christmas will be great fun with an "almost" 2 year old, right?
So adorable! What a beautiful tree! It is so special to see the kids' excitement about Christmas this year.
That is so funny! Maya loves the tree too, she kisses it and tries to give the tree a hug and every so often just rubs her cheek against the needles. Oh new experiences!
Beautiful tree! This is such a special time of year, and to have the chance to see Christmas through the eyes of a young child is just magical...
