Did I Just Say That?!

In one of the parenting magazines I subscribe to, there is always a page devoted to quotes. Not just ordinary or inspirational quotes, we're talking "Did I Just Say That" quotes?! The kinds of weird phrases only parents find themselves saying, when one shakes their head afterwards when the words come out. Tonight, while getting Ruthie ready for bed, I caught myself saying something outrageous... "If you let me brush your teeth, you can play with Mommy's makeup"! Really...did I just say that?! I kicked myself immediately and again soon after when she was happily smearing lipbalm all over her face! I think I'll submit this quote to the magazine!
