Our week with Isabel!

For a week each summer, we are blessed to have our niece and God-daughter, Isabel, spend time with us.  It was a tradition we began a few years ago, and it is something we all look forward to throughout the year!  For the past week, we were busy most days doing fun and exciting things...

The first weekend Isabel was here, we took a ferry ride to an island (Isabel's first boat ride), and spent the day visiting small towns, farmer's markets and tourist sights.  Throughout the past week, we filled our days with fun outings, taking care of Ruthie, going on walks, reading, watching movies, and having lots of fun.

Ruthie loved having her cousin here!  Isabel was the perfect entertainer, playmate (I love the picture of Isabel playing with playdough and Ruthie trying to join the fun from a distance), helper and role model.

It was a treat to have Isabel here, and our memories will last a lifetime.  We were sad to see her go home, but are already counting the days for her arrival next summer!
