Vaccines

Our daughter had 2 more vaccines this afternoon. She had a meltdown like we've never seen this evening as her Tylenol wore off. It was a heartbreaking experience for us. Being unable to calm your own child is a sad experience that requires patience, prayer and a lot of faith. Ruthie is one brave baby, so I know she'll be OK, but until then, we are teary-eyed and sad.

We have been following Dr. Robert Sears' alternate schedule of vaccinations, so that at each appointment only one vaccine containing aluminum, one live virus and no combination vaccines are given. The drawback to this plan is that she has to go in almost every month and that she has more shots as a result of no combination vaccines. We trust that this is all for her benefit, but are appalled by the amount of vaccines required these days. The official state immunization booklet for a new baby contains record keeping for 16 vaccines! Not including a large section for "other vaccines"?!?!
